When we learned that my husband, Derick, would be going to London to work for a few days. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity and we bought me a plane ticket too.
On May 4th, I packed up my camera and my favorite pair of Tevas and set off for a quick trip across the pond.
Arrived in London at 12:00pm on May 5th. Hopped on the London Underground and made my way to Tower Hill on the River Thames near the financial district. We are staying at the Grange City Hotel just around the corner from the tube station. Here is the view from our room.
I met up with Derick when he was done working and we went for a walk around the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the St. Kathrine Docks. I got some good practice with my new fish-eye lens filter.
We stopped for a dinner of meat pies and a pint of beer at The Hung, Drawn and Quartered at Tower Hill. We were surrounded by a passionate soccer crowd, but left before we found out the outcome of the Chelsea vs. Liverpool match-up. We swung by a gift shop and bought some postcards and then back to the hotel and off to bed.
