Las Vegas.v2 – Happy Birthday Derick!

Most of this vacation was spent relaxing by the pool, reading books, drinking margaritas, and naturally there was the occasional trip to the casino. The three of us soaked up the sun and acted like professional lay-abouts. Derick and I were summarily trounced in multiple games of 3-hand cribbage when we were hustled by Dawn after she led us to believe she hadn’t played “in years”. HA!

We visited the Neon Museum (2nd time for us, 1st time for Dawn), we made a few trips to In-N-Out Burger and really got to know the Vegas that’s off the strip. Grocery shopping, a trip to Target, Derick needed new shoes and we found a nice book store. Also, a trip to Home Depot to dream about counter-tops and carpet for our new house.

For Derick’s Birthday we got tickets to Beatles LOVE, Cirque Du Sole at The Mirage. Spectacular! I’ve never seen anything like it and probably never will again unless I fall down a rabbit hole. Truly a wonderland for Beatles fans.

Dinner at Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak topped off the evening. Happy Birthday My Love!!
